Environment: Google Chrome 21.0.1180
OS: Vista + SP1
Pixlr don't take any keyboard inputs after a paste. Nor ctrl+c/v, nor add text on an image, nor shortcuts.
"And Pixlr can only access my clipboard when I start it up; e.g. if I am editing an image and want to take a clipboard image from anywhere else on my computer (say a snapshot from a pdf), I must start a new Pixlr session to successfully copy it in using the menu." also reported by another user.

This is a recent problem for me. A couple of days ago everything was fine, now I have almost exactly the same issue as the OP. Chrome 21.0.1180.79 m Win 7.
IE 8 won't allow keyboard paste, but I can paste with the menus and I can enter text.
In FF 14.0.1 text seems fine, but I can't paste images.
For the image source I'm using the Win 7 snipping tool. Again, everything worked fine until a couple days ago. I have closed browsers and restarted the computer, but no change. -

Anyone have an answer for this? I've got the same problem, I was able to do this just fine two-three times, then it stopped working.

I've had this issue - it's hit or miss. And it's not that the keyboard stops working, it's that the Java keyboard listener seems to go intermittently deaf. For example, past text into a text box, then hit back space to remove a letter, and the backspace works - it takes your browser to the previous page and without warning, poof, your work back to the last save is gone. Sometimes I can re-start the editor, and everything works fine, but more often than not, keyboard input is simply ignored by PIXLR - so things such as holding the shift key down to constrain re-size proportions does not work. It's disappointing because it's a really GREAT tool otherwise. And being that it is free, I am not here to just complain. If a human is listening I'd be happy to provide input to improve the process for all.
I am using WinXP and Chrome -

Same problem still here (Windows 7, Google Chrome 24.0.1312.52).

Yes, I find exactly the same problem. It's a small consolation to know that I'm not alone.

Have had the same issue. Have tried to press tab whilst having a text window open in pixlr, I think that was what solved it for me... Don't know if it helps...
Edit* I think you need only to press tab and the keyboard should start working again.-
Thank you. Yeap, did what he said and it worked for me. :] *Note: tab is the same thing as the backspace button, for some of you who don't know.
