I’m confused?

What does "rasterized" mean? Just curious.

Edit Subject

Just trying to edit a photo, and it's not letting me do anything to it, and is saying "must be rasterized first before editing can be done".

Click Layer->Rasterize in the menu.

Rasterize turns the text into an "image" composed of pixels.
