With Pixlr and your Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera, capture a selfies with the foreground separated from the background.

Creating a Selfie Sticker

Do you have a pic of the Taj Mahal and wish you were in it? Now, you can be, in a snap, with Pixlr and your Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera. After launching the app and opening an image, create a selfie sticker that you can place in any image.

  1. Open an image.
  2. Tap stickers and select Me.

  3. Tap create.

Note The first time you create a selfie sticker, a permissions window appears. Tap accept for Pixlr to access your camera’s color and depth data. A tutorial will play showing you how to create a selfie sticker and what to do with it.
Tip For the best result, ensure you stand out from your background.

  4. In the camera pane that appears, tap the camera icon  to take a selfie. If you like it, tap accept; otherwise, tap reject and take another. The sticker appears in your Me pack and on top of the photo loaded into Pixlr.

  5. Use the sticker’s editing options to move, rotate, scale, and flip your sticker, as well as change its opacity.

Taking a Super Selfie

What is a Super Selfie, you might ask. Well, it’s a selfie with its foreground automatically separated from its background. In Pixlr, the Influence Panel will automatically have a foreground and background mask loaded. No more having to create a mask to separate the foreground from the background! Instantly apply
effects, overlays, or anything else to one part of your image, without affecting the other.

How do I get started, might be your next question. Well, your machine must have an Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera, and you must be signed in (How do I sign in?), and a Pro member (Membership).

  1. Do one of the following:
    • If you launch Pixlr and are already signed into your Pro membership account, in the banner that appears, tap Take Super Selfie with Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera.
    • If you are already in the app and have just signed into your Pro membership account, tap File > Take Super Selfie with Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera.

Note The first time you take a selfie, a permissions window appears. Tap accept for Pixlr to access your camera’s color and depth data. A tutorial will play showing you how to create a Super Selfie and what to do with it.

Tip For the best result, ensure you stand out from
    your background.

  2. In the camera pane that appears, tap the camera icon  to take a selfie. If you like it, tap accept; otherwise, tap reject and take another. The image is loaded into Pixlr.

  3. In the Influence Panel, you’ll see the foreground and background masks.

Tap the mask you want to modify to select it. See Tool Tiles for ideas of what to do next.
